Somewhere between sassing people around, quipping one-liners, attending class & working, I got sick.
I'm talking death sick. I think allergies combined with stress are the culprits, but it doesn't really matter. I'm on day 2, which pretty much means it's here to stay.
So as I'm fumbling around, looking for my health & will to live, I've been enjoying sleeping for 18 hours a day, reading the Hunger Games & catching up on tv shows. Because I honestly have nothing more exciting to entice you with, here are the tv shows I recommend as you're laying in bed, trying to remember what it was like to shave your legs & wear contacts.
1. Felicity.

If there is one person who can identify with the long-suffering experience of being ill, it's my girl Felicity. Ben or Noel? Noel or Ben? Boy hair cut or Hermione Granger frizz? To time travel or not to time travel? Felicity is streaming on Netflix & I couldn't be more pleased. Plus it's fun to remember what life was like before cell phones & computers. And I have to say, leaving notes for people sounds fun.
2. New Girl.
I knew about this show quite some time ago, but was recently told by a sweet friend how much Jess (The Zooey Deschanel character) reminded them of me. After watching the pilot, I agree. But to a point. I wouldn't sing in public. Anyway, it's charming, adorable & hilarious. I highly suggest setting your DVR's.
If you're not watching this show, I don't know how we're friends. I. love. this. show. The humor, the storylines, the characters - they're so amazing. The show is a sitcom, but it has a lot of heart & depth, just like Friends. Besides, who doesn't like seeing Doogie Howser, M.D. all grown up?
I mean, really. This show makes me laugh the most. What is not to love? I love watching Adam watch this show. Because he laughs so hard he weeps. And his face turns red. It's epic.

Of course this made the list. This has been my favorite show since Freshman year of college. That wide-eyed, doe-eyed look that only a Freshman girl can have, I definitely did not have. I prefer to have 'background noise' on as I worked on College Algebra 1, and the re-runs on ABC Family came on at just the perfect time. I own the whole series, thanks to Mom Rayburn. She would give me a season of Gilmore Girls after every year I finished college. Eventually, I finished them out on my own. You just can't go wrong with this show; Wholesome, but with an edge. And who doesn't love fast paced wit when they feel like crap? I know I enjoy it.
Five is all you get. Because, let's be honest, I'm sleeping far too much to watch anything other than 5 shows. Which reminds me, I could really use a nap.
